There's very little difference between T-Mac and Kobe talent wise, T-Mac might even be more physically gifted. The difference is Kobe has the mentality of a cold-blooded killer always out to prove something, while T-Mac is a whiner and a complainer with little heart and passion. Its a shame he never developed that as his career went on.
I'm sure the Rockets could get a good package of young players and draft picks for him if they decide to rebuild.
I wish we picked up Kobe at the beginning of the season when he wanted to leave.. It would of been perfect. I saw his interview.. I and alot of people here in houston thought it was ridiculous too. I don't know If I would want to get rid of him, maybe retune the team. Perhaps pick up TJ Ford and a few others next year.. because as you said.. I just dont think we'll get anything for T-Mac.. I've heard all different types of things. Let's just see how the rest of these games go about

"It's my fault," McGrady said. "It's my fault we missed free throws. It's my fault we lost both games. Blame me. It's my fault we fouled to tie the game up. That's my fault. It's my fault they get easy layups. It's my fault we're not executing well on the offensive end. It's my fault a couple people in the stands ordered Heinekens and they got Budweiser. It's my fault. I'm sorry."
Told the beer reference might have revealed his straight-faced sarcasm, McGrady rolled on.
"I am serious," he said. "It's my fault. Everything is my fault. It's my fault. It's T-Mac's fault.
"Everybody's blaming me. The Suns (for being down 2-0 to the Spurs). I mean, everybody. That's what it seems like. It's my fault. I'm out there by myself." [READ]
he is experiencing about 2% of what Kobe has to go through every year!!

The guy is notorious for being an incredibly weak p#ssy (physically and mentally). Time for the Rockets to move on, Yao-T-mac combo won't work.
But the question is, who do you bring to replace T-Mac?

thanks, it was a tough one. we really needed rafer alston, not that he's a godly point guard.. but we've been playing with a below average point guard both these games.. I mean the outcome of both these last games would of most likely been different

The one that had the Rockets seeing red was an offensive foul on Luis Scola with 45.4 seconds left. McGrady had recovered a loose ball in the left corner and was passing the ball crosscourt to an open Bobby Jackson for a potential game-tying 3. But as ***ilenko charged out to defend McGrady, Scola put his arm out and nudged him toward the sideline.

***ilenko embellished the contact with a swan dive into the crowd that would have made Greg Louganis proud. Meanwhile, replays seemed to show referee Tony Brothers looking away from the play until he noticed ***ilenko completing his second somersault and tucking into the pike position, and only then making the call. It wasn't his call anyway -- the outside ref is supposed to make it, and he took a pass.

It wasn't a great idea by Scola to put himself in that position -- why do it? -- but as you might imagine, the Rockets were upset by the call.

"He put his hand on ***ilenko's shoulder and ***ilenko fell back like a truck just hit him," said Adelman. "And you're going to make that call at that time, in this game, when six seconds before Luis went to the basket and got hammered and the same guy didn't make the call?"

"I have a really hard time with that. [***ilenko] literally flopped. If Luis was that strong, we'd be holding these guys off the boards a whole lot better than we're doing."

(at least one reporter got the story straight)

they stop the game for free throws and you can just add points without the clock running...that aspect of it doesnt make sense.
p.s. kevin you were sitting way up huh? i can tell from the angle that you took pictures, thats how staple center is

yeah they need to just modernize the rules a bit and come up with an agreement. Our tix we're actually in 300 section.. it's basically the deck before the very top, so it's still under the suites and the nose bleeeds lol (that cube screen is actually lower than it looks)

They've got to get past the winner of LA-Den. If it's the Lakers, that's unlikely. It could go either way though. Utah could give LA a run for their money, and it might go seven games. In the end, the Lakers should take it. They're too strong this year...
