Houston Rockets have gone 13 in a row without losing? and without Yao, don't rule them out.

Let's just wait and see. As you know Lakers are tearing it up in regular season with injuries to Andrew Bynum, Trevor Ariza and even Vlad Rad. If WE'RE doing well without these guys then WE'RE gonna be much better when they come back.Originally posted by 186forever View Postok first of all stop with that "we're" crap like phil Jackson Aghateh......
2nd of all if everyone would have gone with the Regular Season matchups then the whole Playoffs would be predictable once they ve started because of your Regular Season Assumption theory...
In 2000, the New York Knicks (yes my team, and always will be) got swept by the Raptors in the season I don t know how old were u back then to remember this, but they swept the Raptors in the playoffs and it was a matter of 4th and 5th seat not 1-8 or 2-7.....I actually watch games and compare and balance talents and teams rather than just pulling up scores from the previous matchups

Detroit- Beat them then lost by 1-2 points in Detroit in the last minutes. All without Gasol.
San Antonio- Beat them in Staples, lost in SA, they're not invincible (without gasol)
Golden State- Beat them (without gasol)
Utah- Beat them too (without gasol)
Houston with Yao- Beat them (Yao is out for the playoffs so theyre written off) (without gasol)
Suns with Shaq. Beat them 3 times this season, thrashed them in phoenix WITH shaq.
We did a clean sweep on Denver so far.
So you're the one that's on crack dude. We're on fire and we can beat any of these teams.

The rockets had alot of equity and honestly this year everyone from houston thought that this is our year, it doesnt seem to turn out to be that. The east has decent teams, but the west is at another level X 2.
The lakers have high odds in winning, but theres a few other teams that are logical contenders
SA
Dallas
Phoenix
Utah

ur on crack the west is AMAZING this year, the fkin 8th seed is 34-22!!!!!!!!!1Originally posted by persian boy View PostLakers are the west's only hope, the West has become so bad now...
they used to be sick 3-4 years ago when teams like T-Wolves, Spurs, Lakers, Kings were all top competitors and the East was weak.
East has the better chance this year, I like Boston's odds, my heart is with the Raps though babyyy
the east is weak
and yes raps will win it

and to me it seems like who ever thinks that the Lakers will win the championship is on crack
Here are the teams that can beat the Lakers
Detroit
San Antonio
Golden State (if they re jumpers fall)
Utah
Houston with Yao
Suns with Shaq Adjusted
and even a Hot Denver team

You have no idea what you're talking about. The west is as powerful as it has been in all of NBA history. The Spurs, Mavs, Rockets, Utah, New Orleans, Phoenix, Lakers, and Warriors are all title contenders.Originally posted by persian boy View PostLakers are the west's only hope, the West has become so bad now...

But nobody, including the Celtics, will be able to defeat the Lakers in a seven-game series. We haven't even gotten back our 13pts/10rebound 20 year old center back yet!!
How can anyone possibly match up with two extremely talented all-star caliber 7-footers, the world's greatest player, the most versatile player in the league (lamar odom), the NBA's best bench (farmar, vujacic, turiaf, walton, radmanovich), and the NBA's greatest coach of all time?
I admit that Boston and San Antonio will be tough. But San Antonio is getting old, and have never won back to back championships. With the west this tough and tony parker injured, their chances at getting their first back to back are even more limited. Bynum, Gasol, and Turiaf will abuse duncan all day.
As for Boston, I don't even see them coming out of the East. They had their hot run, and now their teams weak bench is showing. They've lost 3 in a row to the west, and have lost to Cleveland, Detroit, and Orlando. They won't even come out of the East in my opinion.
So that leaves detroit-vs-lakers in the finals. And that's a no brainer. The lakers beat them in LA and lost on a last second 3-pointer in detroit WITHOUT bynum or gasol.
Case closed.
