you say the replacment are world class, i know alot of people in england are pissed why jack wasnt selected and adam lallana who did not have a good season was selected. what i am trying to say, the anger with coaches is common in every country but you dont see past players bashing the coach on twitter and instagram calling him pyscho.

this is a good point but their replacements are world class. Fekir over Laca is a matter of personal opinion, they are fairly even when it comes to quality. Wilshere is overrated and injured, and you cant really argue that say Dele Alli is far worse than him.

It is clear that say Roozbeh Cheshmi, Khanzadeh, are really not the same level as Vouria, Seyed Jalal.

picking the team is the hardest thing for a coach, is not only iran

england : did not pick jack wilshire.

with every list, there are people who are unhappy, which is fine, but i will trust CQ. i know his crew had checked players alot, for a long time, and his deiscion is mostly due to the defensive mid poistion, which in first game is a isse since ezatolahi is not playing. i will trust him and wait to see what happen

Hell no. 2014 he had 3 or 4 proven mistakes and same will prove to be true here.

what were the proven mistakes?in 2014? in 2018, i believe he think seyed jalal is not fast for spain and protugal, i am sure we can handle morroco attack

It's not final yet, so i still hope Jalal Hosseini, Ghafouri and Kaveh Rezaei get included. Quieroz is a defense specialist, so if someone knows about selecting good defenders it is our coach!
I'm trying to understand the player selection of Quieroz. I can imagine that he thinks that Hosseini is too old and thus slow to keep up with the extremely fast Moroccan, Spanish and Portuguese players. Hence he is of the opinion that Khanzadeh is our fourth choice for CD and probably third choice for RB. i just don't agree with him. Pouraliganji, Montazeri/Majid Hosseini will probably be his starting central defenders, and rightly so, Rezaeian is his first choice as RB, second choice is Montazeri, but in my opinion Ghafouri is our best right back. And as left back Mohamadi and his back up Gholizadeh (who is good as Left Winger). I prefer Kaveh Rezaei over Amiri as left winger, but i'm of the opinion that Gholizadeh is better than both. Considering that Taremi and Ghoddos will hopefully play as LW, it doesn't matter much. Other than that, and his selection of Gucci, i am more than pleased with his list. Also would have preferred Rafieie over an injured Dejagah.

No, as much as we owe a lot to CQ and I live what he has done for our football. Regardless of a lot of things, for me personally it is like Italy not including bofuno, this is the case of our captain syed jala.

My other issue is taking clearly injured players that are not on form.

CQ is a great coach who has become very powerful in our football. Some times things run there course, and I hope he leaves team meli on the high note. He has set the ground for another foreign coach to be successful with team meli and as I mentioned we owe him a lot. He has never been an attacking minded coach be it in the national level or while he was at Real Madrid.

With that said, I respect his decision this is my humble opinion.

The standby list (one that every country has) has the players who will be called up if others get injured.
Reading the comments here looks like people think the list is not final yet. It is, but can obviously change in case of injuries or other strange things that might happen making a player dropout.
