Looking forward to the Qatar game, I think it would be criminal not to start at least 2 of them. CQ has a luxury problem, and IMO we should switch to the classic 4-4-2 system. Azmoun and Ghoochannejhad should definitely start together, where the latter can function as a ''Poloz'' role for Azmoun (it has been proven that it works great), while he's also Mr. Clutch. Not to forget that we also have an Olympiacos striker on the bench, ready to make a difference if we're still goalless against Qatar.

Point being, one of the best ways to open up the Qatari defence (assuming they will park the bus again) is to start our best 2 strikers proven their amazing form for their respective European clubs lately. Currently it's safe to say we have one of the best and most feared forward line in Asia and we should use it.

    Your thoughts?
There is no way he starts with two strikers in an away game against Qatar, why would we open up the game while an away one point against Qatar can be considered a pretty decent result, however i agree against weaker opponents, it is just stupid to play with lonely striker.

The issue is he likes to ALSO play with 2 DM that leaves you with JB in right and Dejagah in left if he decides to go with two strikers, but you have no real play maker in midfielder.

As many people rightfully pointed out, its not a matter of just switching to a two striker system.

In order to do that, we will have to sacrifice one of our central midfielders, which to be quite honest has been the strength and core stability of our team.

CQ will not and should not abandon the current winning system that we have.

This is a great luxury that we have, we have 2 games in the span of four days in March, and the same thing happens in June. We can rotate between strikers in these games to stay fresh.

Azmoun against Qatar, and Gucci versus China.

I remember they started Lampard as kind of defensive midfielder and Gerrard as attacking. It didn't work as Lampard couldn't really find himself in that position. So then after 1 or 2 games, they changed Gerrad with Lampard so the former got a more defensive role instead!

As for both of them being immensely talented, I'm not sure if I agree with you about Lampard. I think he was a good but very overhyped player. Something like Jabbari in Esteghlal! Gerrard on the other hand was extremely talented! He could carry a team on his shoulders! Something like Navidkia in Sepahan!

We can crack some skulls with this set up and playing at least SOMEWHAT similar to Chelsea
That's an awesome lineup! I was also thinking about a 3-4-3 formation but I was thinking Azmoun, Gucci and Ansarifard as the 3 strikers. but now I see your lineup is better!

As Ando Teymourian mentioned, it's a matter of feasibility. CQ is not stupid and knows the attacking potency of both Azmoun and Ghoochannejhad; the issue is to make the overall system work. It was a similar case with England when they had both Gerrard and Lampard. Both players were immensely talented but whenever England fielded a line-up with both, there was always an imbalance since they essentially played the same role.

I strongly disagree with 4-4-2. We have a good balance with our current formation and we do not need to change our formation. It is great that we have 3 fantastic strikers, we need to stick with whats working.

But, if we really insist on playing 2 strikers, it is possible in our current 4-2-3-1. Reza can play the CAM position, which is one of the most important, as it requires work ethic and play making. Reza is very hard working and a good footballer so I could see him possible playing CAM.

Azmoun and Gucci could play up top and AF and Shojaei as sub. In 4-4-2 formatiom you need two CM one offensive and creative and one defensive. If Shojaei could play CM and Wzatollahi/hajsafi the other CM it may work. Shojaei is able to send some good pass. I think CQ would use 4-2-3-1 and bring Gucci in like Iran Qatar game when we need goal.
We have many good players now and I believe we are in best shape in history. In any position there are at least two good players. I predict CQ would invite less perspolis players due two his disagreements with Branko. I doubt we will see Taremi invited again. Also because he misses too many chances

that is an excellent option. but given that it is a pretty drastic switch from our current system, it probably wont happen as a result of lack of friendly matches to test it out

Hosseini and Montazeri cant do 3-4-3. Its a formation for mobile CBs. PAG could. Rezaian could also.

I think matchup wise its better to play Qatar with one striker but play two strikers against China.

Sardar and Gucci up top.. End of story. We have two midfielders who are beasts physically and absolute workhorses (Hajsafi, Ezzatolahi). CQ will remind saeid to stay disciplined first, and we will be good. These two are excellent defensively, and both can launch attacks.JB, Dejagah on the wings, tucking in and we will remain excellent defensively, while making the most of our in form euro talent up top.
