I saw him too when he was in Sydney. I had a brief chat and tool a photo. He is such a gentleman and has such a respect for fans. In fact after I saw him and TM players and had a photo with him (and also team players), I asked myself what would have been the case if the coach was an vatani coach. I am sure I had to pass through a wave of guards (Ali's with knife) to even say hello. What also strike me was that the level of respect he has for the fans has somehow impacted the players too. Don't get me wrong, most of the players I saw were also down to earth, but I wonder what their attitude would have been if CQ wouldn't have had such respect for fans (or if we had a vatani coach). He is such an influential character and he is truly the center of the team (heart and mind). The team loves him and respects him and follows him from the bottom of the heart. This is really making me cry believe it or not. I keep asking myself (and I am sure everyone personally seeing him and TM players would be asking the same), How on earth we can let him go? and who the hell can be so much loved by the players and the fans and unite the team and the fans to such a degree? I only wish there was some common sense....

No worries. Iranians have bought seats even in the Swedish sections! That includes me and 7 friends. The stadium will be as if it was in Tehran! It'll be funny to see Sweden play an "away" game in Sweden!

I'm so pissed, my whole family lives in Stockholm and me too I guess, but currently in Bangkok for work, for years I was dreaming for Iran to come to Sweden an play and now I'm not there... Just imagine the pain when I had to buy tickets for my family when I won't be there myself, hahah! I hope you guys who will be there make a lot of noise and hopefully we will win so I can annoy the hell out of my swedish friends.

Essi jan, thanks so much for sharing this. In this period where everything is up in the air this made me feel better to read your experience.

You are surely the envy of every one on PFDC. Although there is the vocal minority who would rather (in classic PFDC fashion) cut of their shoombools than meet CQ .
