If you watch IPL, you will see how bad his attitude is. He complains and gets red cards all the time. Sosha is nothing but hashieh, he doesnt say anything in TM because CQ will kick his ass back to where he came from. Plus if you want to see him assist goals for the other team then by all means let him play.

I go with either Akhbari and Mazaheri. Sosha also shouldn't be near TM, hes a shit keeper with a horrible attitude and he will assist the other teams goals.

I genuinely believe that Haghighi is extremely overrated, not just cause of his recent mistakes. I've never felt comfortable with him in goal, yes he has a good record but we have our defense and CQ to thank for that more than him. At the moment, we don't really have a top keeper. I think Beiranvand and Akhbari both have great potential to bench Haghihi one day soon.

For the time being, given the unethical manner of Beiranvand treating his club coach Mansourian, I would 100% prefer for CQ not to even invite him to TM camps, until he learns some good lesson and respects his coach!

I haven't watched too much video of Beiranvand to give my opinion of him, but if the poll were instead stated as, "Is Alireza Haghighi good enough for Team Melli?" I would say no. The boy is only in Team Melli because he was ambitious enough to leave Iran, and much respect to him for doing so, but it still does not mean he is talented enough. People often point to his so called great WC performance... what did he do for us that most other keepers couldn't have done? Please somebody inform me!!!

I wasn't a fan of Rahmati but he was without a doubt more talented that Haghighi. At least Rahmati had cat like reflexes and was great in one on one situations although both seem to suck with coming out and dealing with long balls. As of late Haghighi has had a number of blunders, and one could attribute this to just bad form, but to me its rather him showing his true colors as just an average goal keeper.

Akhbari seems promising. Ahmadi seems another decent call up who is level headed. Makani is relatively volatile and seems bipolar, we all remember the incident after the game with S. Korea that got him a suspension. I was really rooting for Beiranvand, but I was very disappointed after hearing the incident with him and Mansourian. I don't understand why some of our players think of themselves above their team.

As I have been always saying, Beiranvand is the best available Iranian keeper right now (IMO, Rahmati is still the best Iranian keeper by far but we know the story, he retired), the issue now is that for whatever reason he is not playing in the league anymore after his incident with Mansourian, same with Haghighi who is Rubin's benchwarmer.

Right now, I'd say that Akhbari is the best and most consistent performer among our keepers and he also has great potential, and I would start him vs Guam I am sure he will do more than fine. But on a regular day, Beiranvand is our best keeper and I believe that he has a great, great potential. We can be quite reassured for the GK position with those two guys coming up

And unless Haghighi saves his career with a decent move somewhere where he gets regular play time, I do not see any future for him in TM

I hope he follows Alireza's footsteps in Europe.
Not true! There were many others after Abedzadeh who were fine keepers such as Nakisa, Tababataei, Mirzapour, Roudbarian, Rahmati, Gordan, Ahmadi. However all these keepers apart from Mirzapour and Rahmati were not given much opportunity to wear the keeping gloves.

Let's be realistic Haghighi does not possess basic goalkeeping skills and to his credit he did play well against Nigeria and Argentina in the World Cup, however he plays like a Volleyballer. I'm very much for Beiranvand to take the #1 place right now.

Both are great. But I believe as good as Alireza is, Beiranvand has more potential.

It doesn't seem like either are getting playing time in their clubs? Goalies need to be playing every week to stay sharp this can really effect their performance. I would still go with Haghighi, but for Guam we don't really have a choice. I would actually rather see Sosha playing vs Guam since he is experienced and playing regularly
