How is Younis not a hero? To carry a team that struggled to get passports, proper kits, proper management, resources, to then win the Asian Cup. For me, Younis is a legend. People say he's club less, but in his prime, he was unstoppable.

Younis is good for Iraq but he is not top 10 in Asia. Maybe top 50. He's just a good Arab league striker. There are many Korean, Japanese amd Iranian players that played for years and years in top 3 leagues that are 20 times what Younis is.

It's always hard to select players when you have to choose 10.

Iran had so many talented players. Homayoun Behzadi in his time was among the world's top 5 header-scorers. Nasser Hejazi, Ahmad Reza Abedzadeh were both top goalkeepers in Asia. Mohammad Panjali, Nasser Mohammadkhani, Khodadad Azizi, Karim Bagheri, Mehdi Mahdavikia, Afshin Peyrovani, Hadi Aghili had all either played or were on the bench for Asia XI in exhibition matches. Ali Karimi, Farshad Piyous, Ali Parvin and Parviz Ghelichkhani were all top world class players.
