I don't like we lost but I would show my team this game again: I think when the players see this again. My heart ached again. I think it's a good way to prepare against Japan

I would rather lose to Japan in the quarterfinals than lose to Iraq. Either way, not much chance of us going beyond the QF.

I keep thinking back to Asia Cup 2019 on 28-01-2019 Japan 3:0 Iran. We were the best in Asia Cup 2019 until that one match against Japan. now we have a different trainer in 2024 with slightly more experienced players. If we beat Japan, we will automatically be champions. It is possible and we have won against Japan in the past.

If I were the coach now with my 5 German assistants, I would be also look back at the match against Japan in the Asia Cup 2019 with the Iranian National Team and take lessons from it.

Unfortunately due to H2H results, Iraq has already qualified to the next round as first place no matter what, even if they lose the next game and Japan decimates Indonesia

Let’s be honest we have the quality to beat Japan. But do we have the stamina to hold on that what worries man ,

japan ain’t a team that can’t be beaten , Vietnam scores 2 goals on them , Iraq scored 2 goals on them what that mean , their defense is weak if you attack them they will concede…

can we hold Japanese attack , that is the big question???

we have to consider it 4 finally games after the UAE games Against UAE we don’t need to win even a tie is good enough but lose against them no that can’t happen, you always play to win …..

    UAE
    Syria
    japan
    qatar/Uzbekistan
    australia/Saudi/Korea

To lose to get easier teams might make sense , but they way we been playing there is no easy team for us ….

That deliberate 3:0 loss to South Korea got recorded and considered one of Team Melli's worst losses.

Team Melli should not be coward and face whoever, every game is unpredictable, on a good day Team Melli wins and on a bad day losses.

    Thank you.

OK. So one case would be Team Omid deliberate loss versus Myanmar, which backfired on Team Omid.

شاید وقتی که مسئولان تیم المپیک فوتبال ایران به "باخت مصلحتی" مقابل میانمار فکر می‌کردند، خودشان هم فکر نمی‌کردند این تصمیم "دو سر باخت" از آب درآید.
