If Uzbekistan beats Australia tomorrow which is before Iran's game then the first place side for Iran will be a hell having SKorea, Japan and Australia. I am sure GN knows this better than most here so he must make his decision before the game against UAE. He will have 1-2 hours to think about this.

Whatever GN does, he needs the buy in from the players. They have to believe in the plan and be motivated to carry it out. All else doesn't matter. You can't follow orders of a plan that you don't whole-heartedly believe in, and there needs to be serious discussion among the players on what to do.

If Palestine does win by a decent goal margin tomrorow, I believe uae will go for draw, and will be upset if they lose or win. We are the opposite.

I keep thinking back to Asia Cup 2019 on 28-01-2019 Japan 3:0 Iran. We were the best in Asia Cup 2019 until that one match against Japan. now we have a different trainer in 2024 with slightly more experienced players. If we beat Japan, we will automatically be champions. It is possible and we have won against Japan in the past.

If I were the coach now with my 5 German assistants, I would be also look back at the match against Japan in the Asia Cup 2019 with the Iranian National Team and take lessons from it.
