and ideally it would be amazing for us to do well in AC and WC , but in this case it isn’t cause we have no new players , we have no foundation behind the top 11 players , if all these players get injured or aren’t in shape we really have no good replacements for these players, we have no one, we can’t risk and gamble a whole World Cup campaign on just Taremi and Sardar , we need to have 23 other players !!

logically GN needs to scouting as many players that we can find that are willing to play for TM , like Dennis-Yerai Eckert Ayensa, we need to have a stacked squad we need very strong bench and strong replacement players…

It is called delayed gratification, you abstain form short term pleasure ( like using your A team to win Cafa tournament or using the A team to do well in the AC) , for long term wins and gains ( doing well at the WC with a solid young squad ) ..


No one in Iranian football thinks long term , no one , all of you on this site know the biggest most important tournament for TM will again happen in 3 years time on June 2026 World Cup , that 3 years time , still a lot of time to create a very strong team …..use all these other tournaments as a test to get the team ready for that big one

no way is ac is meaningless after not wining it in 47 years.....for persian football fans out side of iran ac is not important but for fans of pgl who are also tm fans AC SUCCESS IS MORE IMPORTANT THEN WC.

As long as we have low expectations, we will get low results, the AC cup isn’t really hard to win go look at the draw on paper , we have 1 , max 2 hard games , that is it , all the other teams , you telling me a team compromised of the best PGL players can’t beat Hong Kong and Palestine ??? Even Uzbekistan we should be able to beat !!
Then in the 2nd round we meet Jordan who we should also beat , with the best of the PGL , now after 4 games relatively easy games we already in the semifinals, and probably the biggest and hardest test is S.Korea. Win that game you in the finals already .

If we didn’t have a dumb ass like GN in charge and had a decent coach who took the best in PGL and no legionaries and used the Cafa Tournament to mold these players together, and see which player’s are at the level of TM ,

then used the Bulgaria and Angola games as a clear test of where these players stand , again only with PGL players

then used the Jordan tournament to again test his formation and tactics against probable his 2nd round opponents in Jordan or Iraq , again only with PGL players , if we do that math ,

3 games + 2 games + 2 games = 7 games

that is 7 games we tested only PGL players and maybe discovered that yes we can and have a viable TM of just only PGL that can be competitive…
I don’t see why not , if had than this process more seriously, that I can see us clearly doing well in the AC with just PGL players …
