    ok bahram jan.
    lets simplify the matter.

you say bahrainis wanted to win by whatever means necessary, even if it took to hurting and injuring our players ... IN A FREAKING FRIENDLY GAME WHERE THE RESULT DOES NOT MATTER .

    ok.

I say we DONT NEED to play such psychopaths who are so mentally challenged to understand a FRIENDLY GAME has different dynamics and the result does not matter ... especially if it means getting your host/guest players injured and hurt in the process.

    ===========

you say we shd play them becoz we need to get used to this and devise a strategy to counter it.

I say we dont need to actually play these animals ( expressly becoz of the risks of injury involved in a meaningless game) as what we need to do in terms of preparation and counter-tactics is all MENTAL and in mental preparation.

you seriously dont need to actually PLAY a team who grass-rolls all the time, for you to understand you need to ignore this and play even faster or understand the need to score an early goal.

you seriously dont need to actually PLAY a team who plays rough even in friendlies, for you to understand you shd control your temper.

you seriously dont need to actually PLAY a team who tries to kick ur face in just to rile you up, for you to understand the best way to hit back is to remain calm and stick to your game plan.

these are all MENTAL preparations that a team, staff and team's psychologist can do even without playing against a bunch of animals.

and if your team wants to examine how far they've gone in their preparations, why there are plenty of other teams with such characteristics of grassrollers, rough plays, ... general gulf arab mentality, for us to assess ourselves against. teams like uae, qatar, oman, ... etc.
we can very EASILY ignore bahrain from all such lists of probables.
    very easily.

i also, as always, respect your opinion......but unlike always, I totaly disagree again........specialy when I think I have found out the core ,or thrust of your argument.............
Your assumption is, that, The bahraini's intention is to hurt our players, hence, we need not to play them if we do not have to .
My argument is, even if they tried to hurt our players, it was thier tactics...and they wanted to win over us, more than wanting to hurt us....specialy since they had success with such tactics.
    ...................................
These two diferent view of ours, is foundemental to assess situation with, to see if we should or we should n't play with them....
Your conclusions are all correct, if your assumption was...
    and so is mine........
.........................ps, " It is not bedeh bestoon " ..I wanted to see, if you were offended by the Bahrainis .

LOL bahram jan, mage bedeh bestooneh ?

but seriously, I dont have any problem with tough, hard nosed football. I also think we shd get used to ( or at least be able to deal with it ) the usual time-wasting , grass-rolling tactics, the anti-football antics, the use of speakers in stadia by fans, the mistreatment in receptions, the ref bias, the ... etc.

but again, I have to go back and say that was NOT "tough, hard nosed" football. that was a psychotic display in absolutely wrong setting and circumstances.
do you agree teams conduct test games to try out players, formations, tactics, ..... etc to prepare them for the official games? I hope you do.
I also hope you agree and recognize the need to avoid any injuries or harm towards the players in such games as the setting dictates a different outlook and approach by teams and the result of the game or how badly you hurt the other team SHOULD NEVER MATTER.

now what happens when you see a team is determined to transform this setting into one that creates so much tension, stress, and probable injuries and harm .... all the time in a game that nothing matters or shd matter ?
what do you say when a team shows an underlying purposefulness about hurting and injuring the opponents in such settings?

why shd you play them, even if you think we must get used to this?

if kaabi or shojaei or beikzadehor X or Y was injured to the extent that meant him missing the ACTUAL GAME THAT MATTERS ; official game against kuwait, would you be saying the same thing and trying to justify this animal behavior by calling it tough and hard-nosed?
    I doubt it.

you can certainly maintain ur opinion. it's your right and privilege.
but I still persist that such useless games that not only dont allow for us to reach our goals which are practicing tactics, testing players, ... , but more importantly where there's such risks of injury to our players, shd be abandoned completely.

as I said, you want all those dirty crap in football? we get it anyway becoz we are in this region and we face it all the time.
but lets not go asking for sh*t like this and risk getting players injured.

let me remind you, navidkia also got one of his extended injuries from a friendly game. how do you feel about that, my friend?

or maybe I'm not explaining well.
I'm quite amazed why nobody else has weighed in and expressed their opinion on the matter !!!!

    =============

edit- what you're saying is like getting a boxer who is training for a very important match, to train without safety gear and pads, days before the actual game.
do you EVER see anything like that?
    ANYWHERE ON EARTH ?
why do they wear pads and protection and other gears that makes the whole training and test session different from the actual bout ?
are all these trainers idiots who dont want to toughen up their boxers ?
are they all fools who've been following this for years and decades ?
dont you think there IS indeed a reason for all the gear and protection and padding and ... worn by the boxer in these sessions ?

in other words, plz explain why do they wear them ?

have you seen a trainer get a crow-bar and start hitting his boxer ( with just his official shorts, gloves and shoes on ) for the purpose of "toughening him up" ?
oh ... he just broke the boxer's arm !
    ooops !!!
    dont fret, though.
he's only toughening him up. that's all.
who cares if now the boxer has to box with one arm in his OFFICIAL bout !!!!!!!
the important thing is now, he is toughened. and now, he knows how it feels to get hit REAL HARD.
    right ?

I tried hard to understand your side of the issue.........why don't try to understnad my side ....
Why should n't we play them any way ?
Tough, hard nose football, should not scare us away.....
It is after all, one kind of test for TM........with a team, we will face again...
....we have often talked about , our " Gentle " , " whats the hurry ? ", kind of football , compaire to the Europeans........
so, what is wrong with getting a little dirty ?
    what is wrong with, a little more : " Pull " , and " push ", " Drag ", and dirty practise.??
may be there is point here we are missing ?....may be the bahrainis, can be a catalist to change some attitudes ?
may be bahraini's can help us, find the right psycological balance, which we have often missed ?
Kind of games to fool the referees?, and a little intimidation tactics ?a little bollying ?.......
It will add to the dimention of our football.
    .................
I still, strongly believe, we should keep playing them....I am sorry !!

ok. now that we got one aspect covered !!! ..... "pheewww" !

    lets go to the next:
    the required mentality.
I believe our players and coaching staff shd acquire a more calm and collected attitude as it is.
if you are in control of ur emotions and are mentally tough, nothing a bunch of scumbags do shd rattle you. and yes, some of it comes with exposure to such dirty rotten side of football ... WHICH WE GET ANYWAY, IN OUR OFFICIAL GAMES, AS IT IS. no need go seeking this rubbish out.

but a larger part of it is the players' own efforts to prepare themselves mentally. and this needs no game time against these teams.

here, I must applaud Kaabi for not retaliating immediately ( although had it been me, I'd gone tooth and nail at that rabid whore-dog , f**k the red card or suspension or life-time ban. I'd have stomped on his filthy face till his eyeball popped out of his mouth ) and keeping his cool. same with niki, beikzadeh, karimi and shojaie and some others.

so it's all a matter of personal preparedness. the staff and senior players also can help.

becoz basically these maggots are after one thing: get our players emotional and riled up. if you deny them this, you have already WON the main game. the secondary game ( the football match to these maggots ) will be in our pockets anyway, after this.

Although,I still say, we should keep playing them, untill we have figured them out,and can defeat them comfortebly.
Yet, there is truth in your logic, as they feel, ever since they got thier independence from us,at the shah's time, from a big country on the other side of the Gulf......they haave inferiority complex against us.......so much so, it is more important to them to beat us,than being first in asia.....kind of like our game in the WC against USA......hence, they play with hatered.

baba .... bahram jan, I'm talking about the violent display that almost led to a couple of injuries for our players IN A FREAKING FRIENDLY GAME. and you are still talking about the usual negative unsporting arab mentality.

these are TWO DISTINCT & SEPARATE matters.

the negative attitude and anti-football we can get from any other arab nation. although, I did say, none of them would be as bad IN A FREAKING FRIENDLY GAME. they usually resort to this crap in games that matter.

we've played uae, qatar, ... in FRIENDLY GAMES. but none of this sh*t goes on in those games. nothing even CLOSE to this ! this sh*t happens in official games where the RESULT MATTERS to the teams.

if tomorrow we play uae or qatar or ... or any team with history of anti-football , in a FRIENDLY GAME, I am ready to bet they dont resort to such crap with this ferocity. but if we play the same uae or qatar team in an official one, we'd see a different display that refers to what you mention.
but with these animals, a friendly game or an official game are no different! they are rabid animals who behave like rabid animals , no matter what the setting !!!

baradar-e man, if we get into fights and get our players injured or legs broken or ... then let it be in games in which RESULTS MATTER, meaning MANDATORY OFFICIAL GAMES.
not in a TEST GAME where nothing matters but how the players are merely trying to get used to their tactics and get coordinated.

    ----------

bahrain can be the absolute best in asia.
f**k that. let them be the grandfathers of brazil, for all I care.
if this is how they behave in FRIENDLY GAMES, I dont want to play them when we have a choice; meaning friendly games arranged by fed'ns, and NOT OFFICIAL GAMES where both teams are OBLIGATED to play.

hope I made the issue more clear.
I highlighted the KEY words to underline my point with the matter.

and we KNOW THIS IS WHAT THEY DO ... even if it's supposed to be a "friendly" test game. I really believe the gist/thrust of my statements ( no need playing bahrain ) was totally missed !!
when we were going to play mexico, there was so much talk about, analysing the USA games as they had good successful games against Mexico....
What if, the Kuwait's head coach, decieds to do they same, with Bahrain game analysis ?.....
Do n't we need to get over this bump ?......
If, bahrain has found out a gap in our system, and succeeding with it,...do n't we need to figure that out ?
Should n't we in fact, ask to play them, to show we are not afaird and want to solve it ?
Is n't Bahrain strong enough Asian team to qualify to be our worm up team in Asia ?
Do n't we need to figure out a game plan, against , growning number of teams, who play negative against us ?
    ............
I am usualy in trust of your judjment payman jaan...........but not this time.

All I know, Bahrain, did not get more yellow cards, or red cards than we did .In fact,it was taimoorian who got ejected, and not any bahraini.......
So, they are not doing anything illigal, or anything, not seen in the history of football......and they are going to be on our path, for forseeable future.....
We, need to find out what is it they do,and counter that........ avoiding them is not the solution.

I think you didnt read my post or perhaps I didnt put it correctly.

I DID say we need to get used to the typical arab football that uses all sorts of underhand tactics to frustrate us. we can play the likes of qatar, uae, oman, ... to get used to this and develop a mentality that blocks all this crap.

but as you've seen, bahrain's case is a different one. these mongrel dogs behave like rabid animals EVEN IN FRIENDLY GAMES ( I did point out a few of the occasions ) ! even qatar or uae or ... dont resort to such animalistic displays so intensely and so frequently !
the crux of the issue is that we dont need to risk injury and more over a friendly game that will NOT serve ANY purpose, becoz these maggots turn a test ground to a battle ground of nerves !
    it's purely useless to us.

    =====================

and anyway, bahram jan, there will be a chance to see this match-up again under official circumstances, afterall.
they are in japan's group and 2 other weaker teams and chances are they will advance along w japan for the final round.
who knows. maybe they will fall in Iran's group.

but THAT IRAN will be a very different team from yesterday's.
    very VERY different.

of course, in official games we have no choice but to play them. but when it comes to "friendlies" ( "friendly" my arse !!!! ), we just decline.
we dont need to get unnecessarily injured over such a useless game that had little use for us unfortunately due to the nature of it !!
    - did you see how they tackled ando right at the beginning of the game? no wonder ando was like a high-strung tension wire for the whole game!
    - did you see how that son of a whore-dog #14 hit kaabi's face with his boots ?
    - did you see how they tackled and hit our players even AFTER the ref had blown the whistle ?
from the start of the game they set this mood and brought in issues that didnt need t be brought in. we wanted a chance to test players and tactics and ... and all we got was stress and possible injuries !!

    we DONT NEED THAT CRAP.

there's something SERIOUSLY wrong with these players and I dont see any reason , anymore, to play these maggots willingly.

we want to get used to playing arabs ( and I agree, we shd coz it'll serve us better ), we can play the likes of kuwait, uae, ... who still do apply dirty tactics, but not to THIS EXTENT and not this violently. and by god, certainly not in FRIENDLY games at least.
    Payman Jaan........
When we tried to play Mexico, we all wanted, how is it to beat them, as to find out thier system, and find the way, that would be anti-thier system....
there is nothing wrong with that !, Is it ?
And that is what Bahrain has done !, founded out a way, to frustrate Iranians, and they succeeded....to the extend, that even, you suggest we should stay away from them..........
that is wrong..........we also need to find the way, to beat them back !and that is the only honoreble , and correct way, if we realy think we are better.
