African qualifiers are truly a mess.

Ghana qualified after a very dodgy penalty call against South Africa. Ironically last World Cup cycle, it was South Africa who had to replay their game versus Senegal after a Ghanaian ref was found to have accepted bribes.

There is also a chance that DR Congo is going to have their result overturned into a 3-0 loss simply because of substitutions not being done correctly.
In these sorts of cases, referees really need to provide some guidance. Its bullshit that a team would lose 3-0 because of a technicality like that.

Watched Australia vs. Saudi. The game was at at different level. Very different than what you saw today in Group A.

I rate this two teams as the best in Asia at the moment.

Iran would have had a difficult task if grouped with these two teams.

Saudi Arabia snatched a VERY GOOD young coach called Herve Renard, if you recall he was the Moroccan coach that CQs Tm beat! he never lost an official game prior to that and we see that in the Saudi team hes guiding, Not bashing Skocic, but Herve would have done wonders for TM if IFF had 5% brain to approach him.

Having said all that Renard is an excellent international football manager.
Wouldn't do well in clubs, but great for national teams.
Let's see how he does in the WC though. He had an excellent Morocco team which played great football but did not have the killer touch required for such a tournament.

The penalty people are complaining about could've very well been a penalty. We can't say it isn't because there simply isn't another angle. Could've been a pull on the jersey from the back. Esse Baharmast World Cup type moment
