I thought he looked sharp in his cameo , had that lovely shot from outside the box . Nearly got an assist and made some lovely runs behind the defence but they didn’t find him. Also a good test is that he got fouled and got back up.

appearances and who has been called up for Russia for their WCQ against Slovakia and Slovenia. Azmoun has 5 goals currently.

Well, thats probably Sardars replacement right there, so I bet Zenith will make an offer in the winter transfer window and sell Sardar at the same window, right before he leaves as free transfer.

Also, I have a feeling Sardar will be the first Iranian to score a hattrick today. Would be cool if he scored the day after Mehdi scored. Wouldnt that be the first time 2 Iranis scored in the same week/round of champions league aswell?

Hope he scores a goal or two today, very important for Sardar & Zenit to claim spot 3 atleast and continue in EL in february. With a bit of luck they could make a deep run the there, adding a few goals in the quarter/semifinals would be great exposure shortly before his contract expires.

he'll be for most part tied up to a contract elsewhere by the time uefa cup gets going again, but correct, he has to score today in this game to be able to market himself best and attract suitor clubs of substance come next year..!
it aint gonna get any easier to do so in this group, that's for sure..!
