they have a match vs porto in 3 days. Im glad they arent playing him and risking long term injury.
This guy wasted stupid years at al gharafa and Perspolis when he should have been in europe getting his body used to the wear and tear of intense, high level competition.
Instead he gives his max for 2 games and then has to sit out for 2.
Hopefully as the season progresses they manage his minutes smartly and his body adapts, and whenever he takes the field he can put in the quality performances we saw in his first two games.
lol. Its not that simple at all. If it was iranian players would be fine actually. Taremi is physically seemingly a tank, so is ezatolahi. Muscles have nothing to do with it.
Their bodies are not conditioned properly from a young age for european level competition, playing intense matches 2 times a week, and having intense training every day.
He can physically compete with anybody, as he showed vs portugal and spain when he was bullying seasoned top stars around. But that was two matches. Doing it consistently week in week out and maintaining full fitness is something that he and other iranians really struggle with.
And this problem is very hard to solve with just a personal trainer and extra fitness sessions. We are talking about 10+ years missed of professional physical training and acclimatization to regular wear and tear on the body. It would be very hard to even replicate in a full season.
Fitness for professionals can be fixed within a few months. CQ did that for TM leading up to the world-cup. Aerobic capacity can go to professional level with 6 months of training and strength can also be improved tremendously in 6 months. Talent and actual technique takes years to perfect. That's why the world top level players: Messi, Neymar, Ronaldo were professional when they are 15-16 and getting coached by the highest level.
disagree. Yes fitness, cardio, etc can be gotten up to a great level in a short space of time, BUT only to perform for a short period if time (3-4 WC matches). What that training cannot do is get your body used to playing at max level for a long european season or MULTIPLE long european seasons. That is what our players struggle with and many get injured frequently in europe. Its not that they arent fit, their bodies are not used to this level of physical intensity and competition. Obviously they will be able to pass beep tests, gym sessions, agility, etc, etc with flying colors. But will they be able to play at least 20-25 games at the max of their capability ? Very less likely. They can get a handful of great performances before they pick up random knocks, niggles, that lead to long term injuries (see Ezatolahi, Kaveh.)
Can't believe they beat Sporting again haha
taremi must work hard on his fitness to get back where he was.
Ghasem will be fit to play vs Porto on Sunday
