you get alot of height and drive on the ball when you do that, i had a team mate who use to do that for long throwins to resemble freekicks / corners. definetly a scoring chance.

Its similar to how Alizadeh used to give teams like Esteghlal an advantage with is run up throws. Esp in teams with more physical players you are going to try and make the game have as many "set piece" situations as possible.

Just mentioning the case of risk/reward trade off, and wondering how any one player should adjust between the two. I like to quantify risk in general for decision-making.

P.S. The move's full name is "Forward roll throw-in".

I did not know Milad plays in Russia/Grozny. I had thought he was in Persepolis during recent years. Looked at Wikipedia info, and it indicates that he was featuring for Rah-Ahan before going abroad.
