Top 20 is great, well done to Iran’s staff over the four years which have contributed to this ranking.

These have been an excellent four years in which we have built a really disciplined and solid team, with a previously unforeseen depth in many positions. Being ranked this high is less important than sowing the seeds for the future.

We now need to put trust in the new staff who may need time for their own ideas to be translated to this level of result consistency in competitive games.

It feels great but deep down we know that if we deserved the rank of #1 in Asia we would be the defending champs, which we aren’t so it’s best not to delude ourselves with FIFA’s formula and keep it real. Still, it is a pretty sight that number 20.

Of course we deserve it. These rankings are based on solid and transparent point systems. I've said this before and here it is again: FIFA rankings matter! They determine pool location in major tournaments (Asian Cup, WCQ, WC). The current champion is not always ranked higher on FIFA rankings (case in point, Belgium is ranked #1 but France is the current WC champ). These rankings are not perfect, but they are fair/reasonable and are fluid to reflect the most recent/current performance of the team.

اردوی آتی تیم ملی از 11 روز به 5 روز تقلیل یافت تا باشگاههایی که در فهرست آتی ملی پوش دارند،از امکان بیشتری برای همراهی بازیکنان خود بهره مند باشند.
زمان اردو
با توجه به برنامه ریزی صورت گرفته از سوی کادر فنی تیم ملی،اردوی آتی از 10 تا 15 جولای( 19 تا 24 تیر) برگزار خواهد شد.این اردو در مرکز ملی ملی فوتبال برپا خواهد شد و ملی پوشان در زمین شماره 2 این مرکز تمرین خواهند کرد.

دومین دیدار تیم ملی فوتبال کشورمان در این مرحله از مسابقات در خارج از خانه برگزار خواهد شد


بر این اساس، در روز 10 سپتامبر سال 2019(نوزدهم شهریور 98) که مصادف با عاشورای حسینی است،تیم ملی میهمان خواهد بود
.گفتنی است،تیم ملی در نخستین دیدار این مرحله با قرعه استراحت روبرو شده است.

Of course we deserve it. These rankings are based on solid and transparent point systems. I've said this before and here it is again: FIFA rankings matter! These rankings are not perfect, but they are fair/reasonable and are fluid to reflect the most recent/current performance of the team.

I never understood folks dismissing the fifa rankings as illegitimate &/or irrelevant..!??
They are now & always have been very much relevant & legitimate, for the simple fact that FIFA Uses This Rating System for all important tournament seedings & etc.
now you can whine about it as much as you want, but so long this Rating is used, it’s only wise to maintain your highest possible rankings in it, in order to benefit from it.
CQ is one who was very much mindful of this fact & planned much of TMs preparations in order to maximize our Benefits from it.

Oh its importance is out the question, it determines seedings for a lot of things. It's different though to argue the value of the rankings vs what they actually mean about the skill and competitive level of a team. No formula is perfect and I think it makes perfect sense for a team like Japan to be ranked above us at the moment. But i will say, looking at some of the teams we are ranked around/above, we do belong in the top 20-30 range.

خبرهای رسیده از راهروی فدراسیون فوتبال حکایت از این دارد لیست تیم ملی اینبار بازیکنانی را در بر می گیرد که در فصل گذشته ارایه گر بازی خوبی بودند اما در لیست کارلوس کی روش قرار نمی گرفتند

که یکی از این بازیکنان شجاع خلیل زاده است که شاهد بازی های خوبی از او در خط دفاعی تیم ملی بودیم اما به اردوی آماده سازی تیم ملی دعوت نمی شد.
و شاید هم عزت پورقاز که فصل گذشته 6 گل برای سپاهان در لیگ برتر و جام حذفی به ثمر رساند و گل زن ترین مدافع لیگ برتر بود. این سورپرایز در خط هافبک و حمله هم دیده خواهد شد. به طور مثال در خط حمله مرتضی تبریزی شانس حضور در اردوی تیم ملی را خواهد داشت. هم چنین در خط هافبک این فرصت در اختیار بازیکنانی چون کمال کامیابی نیا قرار خواهد گرفت. محمد نادری که فصل گذشته شاهد بازی های خوبی از او در خط دفاعی تیم پرسپولیس بودیم یکی دیگر از بازیکنانی است که شانس زیادی برای حضور در اردوی تیر ماه دارد. مارک ویلموتس بعد از ورود به تهران تنها بازی سپاهان – پرسپولیس را از تلویزیون دید و بعد از این بازی علی علیپور را به اردوی تیم ملی فرا خواند.

البته علی علیپور در زمان کارلوس کی روش هم به اردوی تیم ملی می شد اما هیچ گاه نتوانست در ترکیب تیم ملی جای ثابتی پیدا کند. به هر صورت خوب های لیگ برتر در فصل گذشته برای مارک ویلموتس لیست شده اند و قرار است در اردوی تیر ماه سرمربی تیم ملی ارزیابی بهتری از کیفیت بازیکنان داخلی داشته باشد.

به گزارش سایت رسمی فدراسیون فوتبال،امیر مهدی علوی،سخنگوی فدراسیون فوتبال درباره اعلام پژمان منتظری،مدافع با سابقه تیم ملی برای خداحافظی از جمع ملی پوشان عنوان کرد
:پژمان منتظری چهره ارزشمند و نام

بزرگی برای فوتبال ملی محسوب می شود که شایستگی ها و فداکاری هایش هرگز از اذهان علاقمندان به فوتبال نخواهد رفت.

حضور مستمر او در سالیان متمادی با پیراهن مقدس تیم ملی و تعهد این بازیکن در میدان های بزرگ می تواند الگویی برای نسل های آینده باشد.
وی ادامه داد:سرپرست تیم ملی بزرگسالان،کادر فنی و ملی پوشان با افتخار اردوی اخیر تیم ملی برای بازی های دوستانه مقابل سوریه و کره جنوبی را در کنار پژمان عزیز سپری کردند.

البته پیش از آغاز این اردو،وی خواهان خداحافظی شد که سرمربی تیم ملی و کادر فنی تیم ملی با این موضوع مخالفت کردند و خواستند تا این بازیکن در این اردوها همراه تیم ملی باشد.
