Babayan is the Uzbek version of our own Vatani coaches.

I don't think they're pathetic, I think their coach is pathetic. He is a big reason for their shortcomings.

The Uzbek fans aren't happy with him either. They needed to sack him after their first loss against us. They had an opportunity to hire a new head coach and coaching staff but their corruption got the best of them.

From many months ago, I wished Uzbeks to qualify. Sorry they did not make it.

Their coach lost the game to the coach of China for them. He is not a coach kalleh ghassab
They need to retire every player over 25 and get a new Coach or their U23 team that will be their national team

The Most pathetic team is Saudi Arabia who uses oil money to win Football matches and qualify for the World Cup. Also ensuring that their enemies such as Qatar lose and finish bottom of the group.

poor ooach. He is probably a nice person in life and not tough enough for a national team. Uzbeks have the talent so it is lot the end of the world. They can do as the chinese and hire a good coach. With the new ooah chines tied with iran, deeated korea and qatar. They will be a tough team to beat

uzbek team also needs a team psychologist, after a goal they start infighting just like Iran team a decade ago. That needs to change.
My last advice or Uzbeks is to have only a foreign ooach for their national team. domestic ooach does not work for Iran and also any Eurasian oountry
Also Iran and Uzbeks should agree to have two friendly matches per year to tune up their teams. This can be informal and for testing new players and testing new potential coaches

That should be for all levels U17 U23 and the main national teams all taking place in one week as a amping trip and playing football

Actually Lippi did not take over the team until after that 0-0 draw in Beijing.

Which means they are NOT pathetic, they were just like us, BC ( Before Carlos) basically in denial , never thinking that Pro coaching matters, and relying on home grown coaches ( BAD IDEA!) so what they need is a decent foreign coach like Milotunivic, Troussier or even Afshin Ghotbi to get them gelled better to face teams like Iran , China and Korea...
