It's easy to look like Buffon when players taking shots on net are aiming everywhere but away from the goalie. The problem is more fundamental.
No need to do careful technical analysis. One look at our football is enough. The reason for underperformance is simple, we do not have a professional football program. What we essentially need is funding from FIFA, which facilitates football development in most countries. By the looks of it, they haven't invested in Iran for whatever reason. It could be economical, political, who knows. Half the country can't even step into a stadium so my guess is that it's an economical decision that they have chosen not to invest. Very true. They don't have the last touch. Our soccer has focused on parking the bus for the longest time that our offense have lost touch

And also our infrastructure and amateur football. I agree 100% with your comment. We need to definitely spend money. Perhaps, instead of paying terrorists all over the world, we can fund our clubs!

I was thinking if we had quality foreign players like these clubs, we could always win a cup. These Asian clubs even have problem with all their stars against us. They steal our talents and scout international stars and yet have problem agaisnt us and yet waste time with fear. Just imagine a combination of Iranian might and technics with a little bit of fame and international exp, ACL will dream to see a non Iranian champion. It'll become like Futsal

But it won't happen until this government is in power. Anyone reaching a bit of fame, after using our clubs will move to big regional or world football and we still continue to get the garbage of the world (with all respect to few good like Padovani & etc). Until then we only have ourselves and have to depend on the remainder of national talent

For now, a good amount of Iranian clubs are banned from signing foreign players, since there are too many files in FIFA.
