Behrang Safari's club career is like a name spelled the same backward as it is forward.

          Malmo
          Basel
          Anderlecht
          Basel
          Malmo

          also a correlation in years
          4 years at Malmo
          3 years at Basel
          2 years at Anderlecht
          3 years at Basel
? years at Malmo --> hopefully 4 to prove my point.

          I have no life.

Still a bit early, it's hard for a goalkeeper to get playing time. He will keep working hard and make it.

I thought the whole fuss he had about not joining the teams he had offers from in the past was that he wasn't being offered a 1st choice spot and those teams were in way better leagues....now he's in the Swedish league and isn't even 2nd choice? Doesn't make sense to me but it's also only been 1 game I think so we'll have to wait and see

On a more positive note the good news is he is a really hard working dude so I have no doubt he will fight like hell to get back to good form. We gotta be patient with him

Maybe he's still not eligible to play?

pretty sure he was signed to be their 2nd choice from start with decent shot at making 1st spot. Now their 1st keeper made a shaky start today so Ali will get his chance if they keep struggling

First of all, AFC got Erlandsson on loan way before so he was always set to be first choice in the short term since he's a talent, but since he's on loan they'd need another keeper able to handle first choice duties further down the line. So they got a keeper with a better resume than the team, but with the risk that he hasn't played football in a while. So could also be that he's really not match fit and they won't play him unless he's ready.

Probably not eligible to play, or not match fit or something like that, no way he's not at least good enough to sit on the bench. Haghighi on his best form is a keeper who deserves to play in a better league than Allsvenskan for sure.

What's with our players getting injured right after signing with a new club? Last year it was Jahanbakhsh, now Haghighi and Dejagah.

damn...!! that really sucks for him..
guess thats what happens when you take it easy for months and then all the sudden have to hit training @ Pro levels..! especially when its at a new team and your likely over-exerting yourself in training in order to impress your new employers..!

                                same shitt as Dejagha..!
