Quite interesting, than Oman's coach has also coached Real Madrid in 2005-06

I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

imo also, ATM, This is just about our Strongest Line-up..!
but with progress to next round as group leaders pretty much guaranteed, it remains to be seen if Carlos would instead opt for a more experimental line-up..!!? also, as much as i think we should, i doubt CQ would drop HajSafi from his starting lineup.

whatever happened to our carrot-top ?? that red-headed RB..? forgot his name..!! i'd slightly prefer him over Rezaeian.

Edit: Just realized you mean in Azadi. I meant Iran hasn't lost by that many goals by anyone ever actually. Not even footballing giants such as Germany or Argentina. Apparently our biggest defeat was a 6-1 loss to Turkey.

I hope Argentina comes and plays in Azadi in the future. But I doubt it under the islamic republic due to political tensions.

Well, we have had a few losses where we conceded 4 goals. Austria beat us in a friendly 5-1 back in the days of Daie and Azizi. And then way back in time, when our country of civilized we played a friendly with Brazil in Tehran and lost by some sizable number of goals. Remind you it was our B team, as the A team was involved in Asian games at the time.

Iran Hungry for Victory over Oman: Carlos Queiroz

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran national football team coach Carlos Queiroz described Oman as a good team but said his players are ready to win the upcoming match against the Persian Gulf Arab country.

Iran and Oman will vie for top spot in Group D of the 2018 FIFA World Cup/2019 AFC Asian Cup joint-qualifiers on Tuesday in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.

“Oman has quality players and they will play for their pride against us. On the other hand, our players are very motivated to defeat Oman. We are hungry for victory,” Queiroz said in the pre-match news conference.

“Oman is a good team but we also are the best Asian team. We are going to win the match and also to fight until the end of the match. We want to prepare ourselves for the next stage,” the Portuguese added.

Carlos Queiroz also called on the fans to support the national team during the match against Oman.

Oman Coach Lopez Caro Seeks Win against Iran in World Cup Qualifier

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Oman coach Juan Ramon Lopez Caro said they will have a very difficult match against Iran but they are ready to earn the three points.

Oman will play Iran in Group D of the 2018 FIFA World Cup/2019 AFC Asian Cup joint-qualifiers on Tuesday in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.

“The match against Iran is very vital for us but since it is the last group match, it will be a must-win game for both teams,” Lopez Caro said in the pre-match news conference.

“We are well-prepared for the match against Iran. We know Iran is the best team in Group D but we will do our best to win the match,” the Spaniard added.

“We’ve analyzed Iran well and are ready to beat Iran,” Juan Ramon Lopez Caro concluded. ()

Iran leads group D with 17 points, followed by Oman with 14 points.
