Official: Oman needs to beat Iran 8 - 0 to top the group and eliminate us.

We can play a relaxed game.

since Oman can't beat Iran by 8 ! they only can win the match and wait for a miracle to qualify as one of the best runner-ups. still a do or die game for Oman.

We need to beat their butts , so we can get a better seeding for next round.
They have traditionally been a tough opponent for TM to breakdown.
This is the weakest Oman side in years & I think they got a new coach since last time we played them. !?
Seems as it didn't do em much good considering they barely scraped by Guam ..!? Still they are far better side to India & we can't go all out on them as they are far more capable of hurting us on the counter.

The pressure is square on their shoulders, id guess that a counter attacking tactics is the best way to approach this game.

It will be a tough game. They always play fair and clean and tough against us.

I think this will most likely (and of course should) go well for us, as Oman desperately needs to win and that's when the TM of nowadays benefits hugely from this position, especially since we are at home. We can play a more narrow, disciplined and direct football with less pressure, our young talents can damage them the hardest at that point.

I probably wouldn't even put a bet on Oman getting a draw even after the average performance vs India, my prediction is a 1 or 2-0 but should be an entertaining and fast paced game. Pressure is on them

lol if Oman manages to beat TM in Azadi by 8 goals, I dont even want Iran to advance to the next round.
But I know its not gonna happen anyway. :P

Trust me, no team in the World including World Champions Germany, can beat TM at the Azadi by 8 goals.

guys idk if it was only me or not but i am VERY VERY pleased with ezzatollahi! Every corner we had he got a head on it! so disappointing he couldnt get on the score sheet . physically body and tall kid, he surely knows how to use it too!!! his passes are on point too wow im excited to see this kid mature and get even better.

This is a must win for Iran in terms of prestige

Iran has never beaten Oman in the past 3 tries

                            2 draws and a loss

Exactly. Our dark arab horse they are
IRI's politics is no different than handling a pressure cooker ..... As the pressure builds up, you slowly let the steam out just a tad bit so that you don't see overflow, and once the pressure from below is less, you put the lid down again and raise the temperature.
