{"id":40221,"date":"2020-09-03T10:50:40","date_gmt":"2020-09-03T17:50:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.persianfootball.com\/news\/?p=40221"},"modified":"2020-09-03T10:50:40","modified_gmt":"2020-09-03T17:50:40","slug":"hazfi-cup-tractor-defeats-esteghlal-in-thriller-to-lift-trophy-video","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.persianfootball.com\/news\/2020\/09\/03\/hazfi-cup-tractor-defeats-esteghlal-in-thriller-to-lift-trophy-video\/","title":{"rendered":"Hazfi Cup: Tractor defeats Esteghlal in thriller to lift trophy [VIDEO]"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Tehran Times &#8211; MASHHAD, <strong>Tractor football team defeated Esteghlal 3-2 to win Iran\u2019s Hazfi Cup in a hectic final on Thursday for the second time.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Star-studded Tractor had claimed the title for the first time in 2014 and seize the accolade once again after six years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tractor got direct entry to next year\u2019s AFC Champions League as the Hazfi Cup winners and Esteghlal will have to participate in ACL qualifying play-offs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mohammadreza Khanzadeh gave the lead Tractor in the 17th minute in Mashhad\u2019s Emam Reza Stadium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tractor midfielder Ashkan Dejagah made it 2-0 in the 34th minute and Akbar Imani scored Tractor\u2019s third goal in the 41st minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mehdi Ghaedi reduced the deficit for Esteghlal six minutes into the second half and substitute Arsalan Motahari scored Esteghlal\u2019s second goal in the 79th minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Soon after, Esteghlal put Tractor under pressure but failed to score the equalizer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Esteghlal are the most decorated football team in Hazfi Cup, winning seven titles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe deserved to win the title and I would like to congratulate our fans.
