{"id":38882,"date":"2020-03-11T19:32:47","date_gmt":"2020-03-12T02:32:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.persianfootball.com\/news\/?p=38882"},"modified":"2020-03-11T19:32:47","modified_gmt":"2020-03-12T02:32:47","slug":"team-melli-training-camp-canceled","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.persianfootball.com\/news\/2020\/03\/11\/team-melli-training-camp-canceled\/","title":{"rendered":"Team Melli training camp canceled"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tehran Times &#8211; TEHRAN, <strong>Following the postponement of upcoming Asian qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, Iran national football team\u2019s training camp in mid-March has been canceled.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The outbreak of coronavirus has caused sports events to be suspended or postponed in Asia and Europe, including both domestic and international events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some of the qualifier matches to be affected are Team Melli\u2019s matches against Hong Kong and Cambodia, scheduled for March 26 and 31 respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Team Melli\u2019s training camp was due to be held from March 18 in Tehran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">FIFA has confirmed that the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers second round ties which were to be held in the months of March and June across Asia have been postponed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is expected that the competition scheduled for March to be played in October while the matches which were slated for June will be rescheduled for November 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Earlier, all matches for the AFC Champions League Match Day 3 in the West Zone were postponed.
