{"id":38696,"date":"2020-02-17T21:18:30","date_gmt":"2020-02-18T05:18:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.persianfootball.com\/news\/?p=38696"},"modified":"2020-02-17T21:20:53","modified_gmt":"2020-02-18T05:20:53","slug":"irans-shahr-khodro-fall-short-against-uzbek-side-pakhtakor-video","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.persianfootball.com\/news\/2020\/02\/17\/irans-shahr-khodro-fall-short-against-uzbek-side-pakhtakor-video\/","title":{"rendered":"Iran\u2019s Shahr Khodro fall short against Uzbek side Pakhtakor [VIDEO]"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tehran Times &#8211; TEHRAN, <strong>An Igor Sergeev brace  and a late Sherzod Azamov header helped Pakhtakor brush aside Shahr  Khodro FC 3-0 to record their second consecutive win in the 2020 AFC  Champions League Group A on Monday.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shahr\n Khodro came into their second-ever AFC Champions League game dreaming \nof collecting their first point or scoring their first goal in the group\n stage, but at the end of the 90 minutes, they would have neither as the\n home side added another three points to their haul after having opened \ntheir campaign with a 2-1 win over Shabab Al Ahli Dubai last week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A cagey first half saw few opportunities \non either goal, even as Pakhtakor dominated possession and Shahr Khodro \nsat deep to keep the danger at bay, the-afc.com reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dragan Ceran\u2019s misdirected header in the \n20th minute and Sergeev\u2019s high effort just before the half-time whistle \nwere the closest Pakhtakor came to scoring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Uzbek champions started the second \nhalf with a bang and before the first 15 minutes of the second period \nwere over, they had put the game to bed with a quick double-salvo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Masharipov showed spectacular skill in the\n 56th minute to dribble past two Shahr Kodro defenders in one go and \npulled it back for Sergeev to sweep home the opener for Pakhtakor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The home crowd at Pakhtakor Stadium had barely finished celebrating the opener when their side delivered again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Masharipov was again the creative heart of\n the time, this time he supplied a defence-splitting pass to Dostonbek \nKhamdamov who, despite being through on goal, showed selflessness and \nsquared for Sergeev to add his second of the night into the empty net in\n the 59th minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the game looked headed to a close, the hosts added their third of the night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once more, it was Masharipov delivering \nthe golden pass.
