to score goals for Nottingham Forest"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>NottinghamshireLive &#8211; NOTTINGHAM, <strong>Striker Karim Ansarifard admits the pressure is on to find the back of the net for Nottingham Forest.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Iran international opened his account for the Reds last weekend, when he came off the bench to play his part in a 3-0 win over Hull City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was Ansarifard\u2019s first Forest goal, in his seventh appearance for the club, as he reacted quickest when Joe Lolley\u2019s effort crashed back off the post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Martin O\u2019Neill\u2019s men couldn\u2019t keep their winning run at home going, however, as they then fell to Aston Villa on Wednesday night \u2013 a match which saw Ansarifard make his full debut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But the 28-year-old is still pleased to have got off the mark on the goalscoring front.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt was a great feeling,\u201d he told the club\u2019s matchday programme, before\u00a0the midweek fixture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt was a difficult game for us because we know how important the game was and the three points were for the team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEveryone was trying their best to get the three points and we did a good job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOf course, it was my first goal for the club and I was so happy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt has taken a while, waiting for my debut and being away on international duty, so I was waiting for that moment to score.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt is my job to score, I love scoring goals and it is my role in the team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am always trying my best to give everything for the team, so Saturday was good for me to get one assist and one goal, and also the team performance was perfect.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ansarifard made the move to\u00a0the City Ground\u00a0in November as a free agent, having been released by Olympiacos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, he was unavailable for a spell around the turn of the year as he was called up for his country for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He remains determined though, to give Reds supporters something to cheer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI wouldn\u2019t say it was relief but there is pressure to score in every game,\u201d he said of breaking his duck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe fans expect a lot from us and they want us to win every single game, to get the result to make them happy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThat is the most important thing, to make the fans happy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIn football it is like this as you play for your team-mates and for the fans to give them happiness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAll of the time, you have that pressure on your shoulders and it is a good pressure, but you have to manage it, control your emotions and make sure you are always getting better with every training session.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And the forward has thanked fans for their support, as Martin O\u2019Neill\u2019s side go into\u00a0the final stretch of the season\u00a0looking to mount a charge to the play-off places.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhen we are winning, when we are losing and even when we don\u2019t get the points, they are trying to help the team and help each player, so that means a lot for us,\u201d Ansarifard added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe have to give more than 100 percent to make them happy as they support us all of the time.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NottinghamshireLive &#8211;
