Their impressive performance was rewarded by the previously unranked team moving to 50th in the FIFA World Ranking.<\/p>\n<p>Come next April, host Jordan will square off against Asia\u2019s best for the continental title.<\/p>\n<p>Despite not qualifying for the 2018 AFC Asian Women\u2019s Cup Finals, Islamic Republic of Iran\u2019s efforts at the qualifiers proved to be notable as they moved up to 55th place, who were also previously unranked.<\/p>\n<p>Japan remained the top ranked Asian team at sixth place, with Australia following closely behind as the Matildas moved one rung up to seventh.
