{"id":25310,"date":"2016-05-27T09:25:05","date_gmt":"2016-05-27T16:25:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.persianfootball.com\/news\/?p=25310"},"modified":"2016-05-27T09:25:05","modified_gmt":"2016-05-27T16:25:05","slug":"iran-drawn-with-saudi-arabia-in-afc-u-16-championship-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.persianfootball.com\/news\/2016\/05\/27\/iran-drawn-with-saudi-arabia-in-afc-u-16-championship-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"Iran drawn with Saudi Arabia in AFC U-16 Championship 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tasnim &#8211; KUALA LUMPUR, <strong>Iran has been pitted against Saudi Arabia in the AFC U-16 Championship.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Iran has been drawn alongside host India, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Group A of the championship, to be played in Goa in September-October 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Saudi Arabia has previously won the tournament twice in 1985 and 1988 while Iran has won it once in 2008.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Draw Result<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nGroup A: India, Islamic Republic of Iran, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates<br \/>\nGroup B: Australia, Japan, Vietnam, Kyrgyzstan<br \/>\nGroup C: Korea Republic, Malaysia, Oman, Iraq<br \/>\nGroup D: DPR Korea, Uzbekistan, Thailand, Yemen   <\/p>\n<p>Each group will play a one-round league, from which the top two teams in each group (eight teams in total) will qualify to the quarter-final where the four winners will qualify to the semi-final.
