Persianfootball.com – ST. PETERSBURG, Iranian gem Sardar Azmoun scored his second consecutive goal for Rubin Kazan, but again couldn’t prevent his team from losing, this time away from home against giants Zenit St. Petersburg on Sunday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After the hosts had taken a 2-0 half-time lead thanks to two Hulk penalties, Azmoun pulled a goal back shortly after the break, notching home from close range.<\/p>\n

But former Rubin striker Rondon’s hat-trick and Danny’s further goal could only be responded with a late penalty goal by the guests and so the match ended in a 6-2 thrashing.<\/p>\n

Azmoun overall showed a very pleasing performance, creating a number of chances for his teammates and only having his second of the day and fourth of the season denied by a fantastic save to his superb header.<\/p>\n

Also on Sunday, Daniel Davari and Eintracht Braunschweig grabbed a lifeline in German Bundesliga, defeating Hannover 96 3-0 in a derby and reducing the gap to a non-relegation spot to two points.<\/p>\n

Already on Saturday, Ashkan Dejagah came on as substitute and assisted Fulham’s first goal in a vital 2-1 win over Aston Villa.<\/p>\n

On the same day, NEC Nijmegen struggeled to a frustrating 1-1 draw with Cambuur Leuuwarden. Iranian youngster Alireza Jahanbakhsh was subbed out at halftime after one of his weaker performances for the Dutch club.<\/p>\n

Masoud Shojaei and Las Palmas also suffered a setback in Spain’s second league, being defeated by Alcoron and dropping one spot to fourth in the table.<\/p>\n

Also Charlton Atheltic and Reza Ghoochannejhad had a disappointing weekend, losing 0-1 at home to Reading.
