Khaama Press, GHANIZADA – HERAT, A young Afghan man in western Herat province of Afghanistan who looks like the Argentinean football star Lionel Messi, recently sparked rumors regarding Messi\u2019s conversion to Islam.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rumors regarding Messi\u2019s conversion to Islam became wide-spreading; specifically on social media websites after an Afghan doctor uploaded the photo of 26-year-old Abdul Karim who has a similar face as Lionel Messi. (Photo credit BBC Persian)<\/p>\n

Abdul Karim was born in western Herat province of Afghanistan during the month of June, which is similar to Lionel Messi\u2019s birthday.<\/p>\n

Despite Abdul Karim\u2019s height is 3 centimeters longer than the Argentinean football star, his body type, faces and skin color is identical as Lionel Messi.<\/p>\n

He is currently teaching Geography in a preliminary school where he is famous as Master Messi, according to a BBC report.<\/p>\n

Abdul Karim is also a member of a local football club in western Herat province of Afghanistan and is a fan of Barcelona football club.<\/p>\n

There are mixed reactions regarding Abdul Karim\u2019s look alike as Lionel Messi in western Herat province of Afghanistan, where he is supported by fans of Messi, however he receives adverse reaction from those who are not happy with Messi.<\/p>\n

He is a regular viewer of La Liga since he is a fan of Messi and his team, and it is one of his ambitions to meet with Lionel Messi.<\/p>\n
