Tehran Times – KARAJ,\u00a0\u00a0Iran football team defeated Kuwait 3-2 in the AFC Asian Cup 2015 qualifying campaign on Monday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yaghoub Karimi put Iran ahead after two minutes in Karaj\u2019s Enghelab Stadium but Waleed Ali Jumaha scored for the visiting team in the 18th minute.<\/span><\/p>\n

Iran\u2019s pressure paid off in the 61st when Payam Sadeghian found the back of the net.<\/span><\/p>\n

With one minute left, unmarked Kuwait striker Fahad Al Rashidi equalized the match.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Iranian striker Karim Ansarifard headed the ball past Kuwait goalkeeper in the injury time.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI am satisfied with the win and I dedicate this victory to all Iranian fans. We defeated Kuwait with our young players and the match was a good opportunity for them to prove themselves,\u201d Iran coach Carlos Queiroz said in the post-match news conference.<\/span><\/p>\n

Iran stayed seven points ahead of Kuwait in Group B with 16.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lebanon is third with five points and Thailand remains rooted to the bottom of the table without a point.<\/p>\n
