Persianleague.com – TEHRAN, The first day of action concluded today and the only two teams that didn’t play were Esteghlal and Rah Ahan, who will play on Sunday in Azadi.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Persepolis went to Takhti Stadium with a couple key players missing from injuries; the match seemed to be ending with a nil-nil draw, but Ali Ghorbani gave Naft Tehran three points with a late goal in the 3rd minute of added time (93′).<\/p>\n

Damash Gilan defeated Gostaresh Foolad 2-0 in Yadegar Emam Stadium in Tabriz. The goals came from Mehdipour (39′ OG) and Hasanzadeh (69′).<\/p>\n

Tractor Sazi visited Fajr Sepasi in Shiraz, and this match ended with a goalless draw.<\/p>\n

Saipa defeated Mes in Enghelab Stadium in Karaj. The only goal of the match was scored by Shakouri in the 49th minute.<\/p>\n

Zob Ahan gained their first victory of the season in Bandar Anzali against Malavan. This match ended 2-1, with goals from Daghagheleh (84′) for Malavan, and Mosalman (54′) and Rajabzadeh (82′) for Zob Ahan.<\/p>\n

Sepahan defeated Saba 2-1 in Fooladshahr Stadium. Both of Sepahan’s goals were scored by Gholami (10′, 38′), and Saba’s lone goal was scored by Pakizeh in the 84th minute.<\/p>\n

The Ahvaz Derby ended 3-2 in Foolad’s favour. Foolad’s goals came from Hatami (28′), Rahmani (34′) and Rafiei (83′), and Esteghlal Khuzestan’s goals came from Meydavoodi (4′) and Kheiri (91′).<\/p>\n

Esteghlal will host Rah Ahan Sorinet on Sunday, August 25, at 7:10 PM local time.<\/p>\n
