PFDC – TABRIZ\/ESFAHAN, The Azari powerhouse Tractor Sazi Tabriz and the former Iranian champion Zob Ahan Esfahan shared points in an entertaining 1-1 draw infront of 30,000 spectators at the Yadegare Emam Stadium on Thursday afternoon.
\n<\/strong>
\nThe home side took the lead in the 23rd minute by a goal from the Portuguese legionnaire Flavio Paixao. Zob Ahan’s answer came in the early minutes of the second half of the match by Mohsen Mosalman (53′).<\/p>\n

Another favorite for the title celebrated an easy 2-0 victory at Fooladshahr. The former Asian Championsleague finalist Sepahan Esfahan defeated Peykan at home by goals from midfield star Mohammad Navidkia (63′) and the Iranian national team striker Mohammad-Reza Khalatbari (90′).<\/p>\n

Sepahan remains in third position with 40 points while Tractor Sazi temporarily replaced Esteghlal Tehran as table-toppers of the Persian Gulf Cup (PGL) due to a better goal difference despite equal points (42).<\/p>\n

Esteghlal will face Persepolis Tehran at the 76th edition of the famous Tehran battle on Friday afternoon at the Tehran Azadi Stadium, most certainly infront of a fully packed Azadi.<\/p>\n
