PFDC – SINT TRUIDEN, Future Team Melli striker Reza Ghoochannejhad returned from the disappointing trip with Iran’s national team in style, scoring both goals in his club’s 2-2 draw with Dessel Sport on Saturday.<\/strong> <\/p>\n

Ghoochannejhad scored the opening goal and a late equalizer after his team had fallen behind.<\/p>\n

The fast paced attacker had trained with Iran’s national team, but due to the non-arrival of his FIFA player passport could neither participate in the friendly match draw in Jordan, nor the shocking defeat in Lebanon in World Cup qualification.<\/p>\n

Ghoochannejhad had been Sint Truiden’s top scorer last season, but couldn’t prevent the club’s relegation from Belgium’s top flight.<\/p>\n

He recently signed a contract with Belgian top club Standard Liege, but agreed to stay with his old club until the winter break. <\/p>\n

In Spain, Masoud Shojaei was again not nominated by Osasuna’s coach, while the bottom placed Basques finally claimed the first three points of the season with a 1-1 draw against Mallorca on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Fulham’s Ashkan Dejagah is still sidelined injured.<\/p>\n
