PFDC – MALACCA, Iran’s U22 booked the third win in the third Asian championship qualifier, routing minnows Maldives 7-0 in Malaysia on Thursday.<\/strong> <\/p>\n

Without the suspended Amin Hajmohammadi and the rested Mohsen Mosalman and Yaghoub Karimi, Alireza Mansourian’s men took a 3-0 halftime lead thanks to goals from Payam Sadeghian, Kaveh Rezaei and Morteza Tabrizi. <\/p>\n

A brace from Saipa midfielder Milad Gharibi, Pas Hamedan’s Tabrizi’s second goal and a late goal from substitute Bahram Dabbagh then completed the thrashing.<\/p>\n

Group leaders Iran will next take on Tajikistan and could seal the AFC U22 Championship qualification with a win, whereas even a point would probably be sufficient. <\/p>\n

Team Omid, who before defeated Kuwait and Qatar in the qualifiers which are held as tournament in Malacca, Malaysia, will then take on Bahrain in the final match. <\/p>\n
