\"Denizli03\"PFDC – TEHRAN, Al Hilal visited Persepolis on Tuesday on the fifth week of the Asian Champions League in the Azadi Stadium, both teams looking to snatch the available three points.<\/strong> <\/p>\n

The game came off to a jumping start for Persepolis in front of almost 75,000 specators after Mohammad Nouri\u2019s shot shattered the wood-work.<\/p>\n

Hilal came close in the 39th minute after Al Shalhoub\u2019s shot was tipped wide by the Red\u2019s Bosnian keeper Asmir Avdukic.<\/p>\n

Ten minutes after the restart Persepolis could have put themselves ahead when Gholamreza Rezaei\u2019s outside pass to Nouri was blasted over the goal.<\/p>\n

Yousef al Arabi almost came close in the 57th minute, his header just going above Avdukic\u2019s crossbar.<\/p>\n

Arabi\u2019s pressure caved in two minutes later when his shot slid past the keeper and into the back of the net after a counter attack.<\/p>\n

15 minutes from the whistle, Fraidi had an excellent opportunity to make Hilal\u2019s talley two to seal the three points, although his one on one chance was saved by Avdukic.<\/p>\n

Moments later Mohammad-Reza Aliasgari could have equalized for the Reds\u2019, shooting the ball wide from six yards.<\/p>\n

Avdukic once again kept Persepolis in the game, pushing Arabi\u2019s eight-teen yard shot out for a corner.<\/p>\n

The 1-0 loss, puts the Iranians second in Group D, the Saudi\u2019s take the three points and sit at the top with nine.<\/p>\n

Denizli\u2019s men will face Al Shabab of the United Arab Emirates two weeks from now on May 15th, in the Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Stadium where anything but a loss would seal the Reds’ progress to the playoff stage.<\/p>\n
