PFDC – TEHRAN, VfL Wolfsburg midfielder Ashkan Dejagah (25) arrived in Tehran on Tuesday morning ahead of the World Cup 2012 Qualifier against Qatar on next Wednesday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Tehran-born German Bundesliga star has joined the Iranian football national team in a training session in the afternoon.<\/p>\n

Barely before his departure from Frankfurt International Airport, the 25-year old right winger expressed his great anticipation ahead of his first appearance for his homeland.<\/p>\n

It is currently still vague if Iran star coach Carlos Queiroz will give Dejagah a starting spot in an insignificant World Cup Qualifier against Qatar although the Iranian football federation (IFF) fought intensively to convince Dejagah to wear Iran’s jersey.<\/p>\n

The training session started at 3.30 pm local time and journalists were allowed to focus their cameras on Dejagah and his new teammates for 15 minutes.<\/p>\n
