\"acltrophy03\"AFC – RIYADH, Boss Gabriel Calderon admitted Al Hilal\u2019s finishing has given him cause for concern ahead of their AFC Champions League encounter with Sepahan but hopes his players will rise to the occasion at King Fahd International Stadium. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Last year\u2019s semi-finalists open up their Group A campaign enjoying an eight-point lead at the top of the Saudi League but Calderon revealed they need to be more clinical in front of goal against the Iranians than they have been of late.<\/p>\n

“I’m a little bit worried as the players missed a lot of chances in front of goal in recent matches,” said the Argentine. <\/p>\n

“However, they know that these matches are important and we must score.<\/p>\n

“I have watched a lot of Sepahan matches and made some notes about their performances. <\/p>\n

“They have good physical players and they rely on long balls and that means that we should expect an interesting game as the two teams have different styles.”<\/p>\n

Calderon is keen to make a winning start in a group that also features Al Gharafa and Al Jazira but hinted he has been forced to alter his strategy due to a number of fitness concerns throughout his squad.<\/p>\n

“We know that the AFC Champions League matches are really important,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

“We want to have a powerful start although our task will not be easy.<\/p>\n

“We were hoping to give a chance to a lot of players but due to injuries, our plans have been changed although we are confident that we can do all our best and achieve the three points.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sepahan will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of compatriots Zob Ahan, who overcame Al Hilal in the last four of the previous edition of the competition to advance to the 2010 final.<\/p>\n

However, coach Farhad Kazemi knows that his side will be up against it when they take on their illustrious opponents and their fervent fan base.<\/p>\n

“The game will be hard for us although we are hoping to get a good result which can help us in our run in the competition,” he said. <\/p>\n

“Al Hilal is a strong team and it is hard to beat them especially when they play at home.<\/p>\n

“However, we are looking to compete in the group and give a good performance in the competition. <\/p>\n
