Bagheri has capped for Iran 86 times and scored 50 goals.<\/p>\n<p>Karim Bagheri, who is currently playing for Persepolis, is known as a two-footed midfielder and is famous for his powerful and thundering long-range shots and free kicks. He scored an astonishing goal from 40 meters against South Korea in the 2000 Asian Cup.<\/p>\n<p>Bagheri started his career in his hometown club Traktorsazi of\u00a0Tabriz in 1992. After two seasons he joined Keshavarz of Tehran. He joined Tehran-based Persepolis in 1996 and left the Iranian popular team for Arminia Bielefeld in Germany in 1997. <\/p>\n<p>Bagheri has also played one game for the English Premier League team Charlton Athletic in 2000. He played for Qatari club Al-Sadd and returned to Persepolis in 2002 where he has been playing ever since.<\/p>\n<p>The veteran footballer played for Iran in the 1998 World Cup.
