could be up to 10 Asian sides in this world cup lol
Doesn't really benefit TM , if anything the top asian teams will have to deal with an even more mundane qualifying route - biggest benefactors are the mid Asian teams the likes of Jordan, Iraq, Indonesia get an extra spot to fight over so this will be a huge opportunity to qualify and for these nations playing in Saudi will have a home factor for them being in a muslim land

It has no effect on Iranian football.
What did Qatar hosting do for us? We got 2 pitches in Kish (that are quite nice), but mostly go unused.

Good for them. If we qualify, they can't prevent us from participating, that's not up to them - but you know if the mullahs are still ruling us in 10 years, you never know what kind of political BS they might pull!

TEHRAN - The world footballing body, FIFA, has officially announced Saudi Arabia as the host of the FIFA World Cup 2034.
The Extraordinary FIFA Congress meeting, held on Wednesday, also confirmed Morocco, Spain and Portugal as hosts of the 2030 World Cup, with Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay staging celebratory games.
Saudi Arabia will become the second Middle Eastern nation to host the tournament after Qatar staged it in 2022.
The 2034 edition will stage the first-ever 48-team tournament in a single host country.
Matches will be held across 15 stadiums in five host cities in Saudi Arabia: Riyadh, Jeddah, Al Khobar, Abha, and Neom.
Riyadh’s King Salman Stadium, with a 92,000-spectator capacity, is expected to be the venue for the opening and final matches once constructed.Tags: None
