{"id":40857,"date":"2020-11-05T15:04:30","date_gmt":"2020-11-05T23:04:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.persianfootball.com\/news\/?p=40857"},"modified":"2020-11-05T15:04:30","modified_gmt":"2020-11-05T23:04:30","slug":"afc-rejects-persepolis-appeal-on-alekasirs-ban","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.persianfootball.com\/news\/2020\/11\/05\/afc-rejects-persepolis-appeal-on-alekasirs-ban\/","title":{"rendered":"AFC rejects Persepolis\u2019 appeal on Alekasir\u2019s ban"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Tehran Times &#8211; KUALA LUMPUR, <strong>The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Appeal Committee dismissed the appeal lodged by Persepolis FC against the decision against Issa Alekasir.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The AFC Disciplinary and Ethics Committee banned the Persepolis forward from taking part in any kind of football-related activity for six months on Oct. 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 30-year-old forward received the ban after making a slant-eyed gesture to television cameras after scoring against Uzbekistan\u2019s Pakhtakor in the quarter-finals of the 2020 AFC Champions League (West).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alekasir was found to have violated Article 58.1 of the AFC Disciplinary and Ethics Code (2019 Edition).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Appeal Committee upheld the sanction imposed in the AFC Disciplinary and Ethics Committee decision in full.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Alekasir is banned from taking part in any kind of football-related activity (which includes, inter alia, all domestic, international, friendly and official fixtures) for six months.
