PFDC – PAMPLONA, The Iranian Duo Masoud Shojaei and Javad Nekounam shined in Osasuna’s victory over Malaga at the Reyno de Navarra on Sunday evening.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The hosts took the lead just a couple of minutes after the beginning of the first halftime in front of 16,000 enthusiastic spectators.<\/p>\n

Osasuna midfielder Juanfran was unfairly stopped by Malaga defender Manu Torres inside the penalty area, the Iranian international Javad Nekounam easily converted the penalty kick (3′).<\/p>\n

In further consequence, the Basque side dominated the match and deservedly extended the lead eight minutes before the halftime whistle thanks to another Iranian international, Masoud Shojaei.<\/p>\n

The attacking midfielder scored a beautiful goal after a perfect cross by Juanfran (37′).<\/p>\n

The third goal scored by Osasuna striker Carlos Aranda was just a matter of time. Nekounam assisted Aranda’s goal from close range with a nice header and underlined his convincing performance (55′).<\/p>\n

Both Iranians started from the beginning and performed strongly and commended themselves for upcoming starting lineups.<\/p>\n
