{"id":11391,"date":"2010-08-03T17:49:22","date_gmt":"2010-08-04T00:49:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.persianfootball.com\/news\/2010\/08\/03\/blackburn-rovers-closing-in-on-first-signing\/"},"modified":"2010-08-03T17:49:22","modified_gmt":"2010-08-04T00:49:22","slug":"blackburn-rovers-closing-in-on-first-signing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.persianfootball.com\/news\/2010\/08\/03\/blackburn-rovers-closing-in-on-first-signing\/","title":{"rendered":"Blackburn Rovers closing in on first signing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk\/sport\/8308127.Big_Sam_closing_in_on_first_signing\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"teymourian_583245\" style=\"float: right;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.persianfootball.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/teymourian_583245.jpg\" height=\"233\" width=\"330\" \/>Lancashire Telegraph<\/a> &#8211; BLACKBURN, <strong>Andranik Teymourian is hopeful he can become Blackburn Rovers\u2019 first summer signing as he waits for talks with boss Sam Allardyce. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Iranian midfielder has already undergone a medical at Brockhall  and the club are now waiting to hear back about possible \u2018work permit  complications\u2019 before continuing talks with Teymourian. <\/p>\n<p>Teymourian\u2019s representatives are confident obtaining a work permit  will not be an issue though and are hopeful a deal can be finalised  \u201cvery soon\u201d. <\/p>\n<p>Rovers arrived back home from the Sydney Festival of Football  yesterday morning and manager Allardyce is expected at Brockhall this  morning, although his players won\u2019t report back for duty until   Thursday. <\/p>\n<p>He is expected to discuss Teymourian\u2019s situation with the board and,  if paperwork issues are sorted, he could be ready to sign a short term  deal at Ewood Park. <\/p>\n<p>The 27-year-old is desperate for a Premier League lifeline after  spending the last couple of seasons on the sidelines at Fulham. <\/p>\n<p>He did previously impress though during a spell under Allardyce at  Bolton Wanderers and is keen to renew his working relationship with the  Rovers boss, having spent a week on trial at Rovers   earlier this summer. <\/p>\n<p>Sources close to the player, said: \u201cWe are hopeful something can be  sorted very soon.
