Samareh joins Al Shaab of UAE

By Sam Fakhimi

PFDC – TEHRAN, Esteghlal of Tehran star striker Ali Samareh is reportedly heading to the Persian Gulf nation of the United Arab Emerites. He will be joining club side Al Shab. Samareh who recently was linked with a move to Austian side Nordea Admira will now spend the next four months in the UAE. IPNA is reporting the deal to be worth $180,000 of which Samareh will get $60,000.

Samareh, who is 27 years old, was once touted as the future replacement for Iranian legend Ali Daei. That vision quickly faded as Samareh struggled to get playing time ahead of Daei, Ali Karimi, Farhad Majidi, and Vahid Hashemian. Samareh has 22 appearances for Team Melli, in that time scoring only two goals.

Al Shab is currently in the middle of the table ranking 6th with 17 points after 11 match weeks. The club has struggled to score goals having only connected on 14 goals this season. Samareh will join Iranian strikers Ali Karimi, Alireza Vahedi Nikbakht, and Farhad Majidi in the UAE.
