Admira Wacker chase Daei

by Martin Reza Babry

PFDC - VIENNA, Iranian national team skipper Ali Daei could be the next signing of Austrian Bundesliga club Admira Wacker. Daei, meanwhile 35 years old, became the world's most successful goalscorer for a national team ever last year and also passed the magical 100 goals mark.

The veteran goalgetter currently plays for Saba Battery in Iran, having marked six goals this season, despite having suffered a knee injury in autumn.

Admira, lead by Iranian businessman Majid Pishyar, just recently signed former Iranian international Mehdi Pashazadeh from Sturm Graz and is also looking for Iranian striker Ali Samereh's services. Samereh however, despite different sources from Austria claiming the deal to be finalized, has not yet reached an agreement with the club.

Pashazadeh already appeared 45 minutes in a test match for Sturm Graz on Saturday and knew to convince in central defense of the team's fourback.
