Tasnim – KAZAN, The FIFA Referees Committee has selected Iranian referee Alireza Faghani to take charge of the France and Argentina game on Saturday.

The match has been scheduled for Saturday at the Kazan Arena.

Faghani has officiated Germany-Mexico and Serbia-Brazil matches so far.

He will be assisted by his countrymen Reza Sokhandan and Mohammad Mansouri.

Chilean Julio Bascunan will be the fourth official.

Faghani has not used FIFA’s video assistant referee (VAR) at the 2018 World Cup so far.

The Iranian official has the potential of refereeing in the next stages.
