AFC – Kuala Lumpur, The Islamic Republic of Iran continue to lead the way in Asia, while India have climbed to their best position in two decades, according to the latest FIFA Ranking.

Following a busy month of international matches, Asia’s five top ranked sides have, however, remained unaltered with Korea Republic still in second, despite dropping three places to 43rd globally.

Asia’s third-placed side Japan, trail closely behind in 44th overall after climbing seven positions, while Australia and Saudi Arabia – fourth and fith in Asia – both moved up five spots to be placed 50th and 52nd respectively.

The continent’s biggest movers were India, who moved up an impressive 31 spots to secure 11th spot in Asia and 101st in the world. The South Asian nation’s previous highest ranking was 94th which they achieved in 1996.
