Iran beats Uzbekistan Futsal Team in 2nd warm-up match

Tasnim – MASHHAD, Iranian national futsal team defeated Uzbekistan 6-3 once again in a friendly match held on Monday as part of preparation for the 2016 FIFA Futsal World Cup.

In the match held in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad, Hossein Tayyebi (two goals) and Farhad Tavakkoli (two goals), Ghodrat Bahadori and Mehdi Javid scored for the Iranian team.

Team Melli had defeated Uzbekistan 3-0 on Sunday.

Iran is in Group F of the World Cup along with Spain, Morocco, and Azerbaijan.

The FIFA Futsal World Cup will be the 8th edition of the FIFA Futsal World Cup and will take place in Colombia from September 10 to October 1.

A total of 24 teams are divided into six groups of four teams with the top two in each section plus the four best third-placed teams will advance to the knockout phase.
