Four players from Persepolis, Alireza Beiranvand, Jalal Hosseini, Ramin Rezaeian, and Kamal Kamyabinia are included in a new-look 38-man party – captained by 29-year-old midfielder Ashkan Dejagah – for the preparatory tour of Armenia. This may go head-to-head with Branco’s decision to start Persepolis’s new round of exercises on Saturday and the boss of the reds is expected to postpone the new round of preparation.

Soroush Rafiei, the 26-year-old midfielder of Tractorsazi of Tabriz who had been banned from national team for using a fake military service card, has earned a call-up too. An inclusion that is more of a surprise and it may be a sign that the officials have compromised with the guilty ones or have decided to condone the wrong conducts of young players.

Afshin Peyrovani, Queiroz’s aid, has told the local media that after the friendly matches of the national team against Macedonia and Kyrgyzstan, the authorities decided to let the national players rest and that is the reason why the clubs are not allowed to use their national players.

Peyrovani also recounted that during the ten-day trip to Armenia, the national squad will be slated for two friendly matches.
