Iran’s girls thrash Maldives 18-0 in AFC U-14 Championship

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran crushed the Maldives 18-0 in the AFC U-14 Girls’ Regional Championship for the South and Central Zone on Wednesday.

The Iranian team opened the campaign with a 3-2 defeat to reigning champion Nepal in Group A on April 20 and then defeated Sri Lanka 11-1 in its second match one day later.

Iran defeated the Maldives 18-0 on Wednesday and advanced to the semi-final as the second team.

Iran will play Bangladesh on Friday while host Nepal face India.
