Former Real Madrid legend interested in cooperation with Iran football

Tehran Times – TEHRAN, Former Real Madrid legend Raul Gonzales has shown interest to help Iran Football Federation scouting program according to ISNA.

“We’ve discussed scouting programs in Asia and the process of transferring young Iranian talents to European clubs”,chief of IFF youth committee Rasoul Daneshju said on the sideline of the AFC U-16 championship in Bangkok

“Raul is currently cooperating with Qatar’s academy, aspiring to find young talents. He has also shown interest in helping IFF in the near future,” Daneshju added.

Raul is considered to be one of the most important players in the history of Real Madrid having scored 228 goals in 550 appearances during his 16-year spell at the club.

The Iranian football team defeated Qatar 3-2 on Sunday in a highly-entertaining Group D opener of the 2014 AFC U-16 Championship, at Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
